Added: 24.06.2013 10:37 | 19 views | 0 comments
Animal Crossing: New Leaf sticks around in second.
Naughty Dog's has secured a second week at the top of the UK gaming chart.
The Last of Us debuted in first last week, claiming the biggest launch for a new IP since Rockstar's L.A. Noire in 2011. Naughty Dog's latest was also the third-biggest game launch of 2012, following Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite.
Nintendo's 3DS-exclusive climbed back up to third.
Tomb Raider was fourth, with Max Payne 3 resurging to fifth thanks to prince promotions. Shop discounts also allowed Call of Duty: Black Ops II to climb eight places and finish sixth.
Far Cry 3 was seventh, Injustice eighth, and Assassin's Creed III ninth. Codemasters' Grid 2, which debuted in the charts at first three weeks ago, drops to tenth.
PQube's MotoGP 13 was the only new release in the chart this week, entering at 15th.

| Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Review
Added: 23.06.2013 21:17 | 28 views | 0 comments
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is a great port of an already great game. It offers some of the best platforming gameplay of this generation that feels right at home on the 3DS. I would not recommend it to kids because of the difficulty level, and though the game as a whole is difficult, the boss battles were much more simple compared to the levels leading up them. The graphics are a disappointment, and were not much of a step-up from the original version. This game is perfect for completionists and serves very high replay value, and it is also great to blast through the levels with a friend. I would really recommend this for advanced gamers familiar with the Donkey Kong franchise and platforming genre, but if you are yet to pick up a Donkey Kong game, I would really suggest you give this great adventure a try!

Mynintendonews:
Nintendo fans love Retro Studios so it comes as no surprise that a few were disappointed in the news that Retro is developing another Donkey Kong Country game, rather than a new entry in the Metroid franchise. Miyamoto says that Nintendo really wants to leverage the capabilities of the esteemed developer, as he says that they are a very capable studio.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is better than the original -- still a difficult game -- but the advantage of being able to close the lid of the 3DS and take a break rather than hurling a Wii Remote in frustration and the lengths the developers went to make the game more accessible without really changing anything about the game elevates the entire experience.
